The Human Resources Manager, Wellpath Consultant is responsible for directing all phases of a comprehensive human resources program. The Human Resources Manager, Wellpath Consultant exercises independent judgment in formulating policies, procedures and directives, which have significant impact in Human Resources, Administration and Staff Development and Training. Must exhibit leadership qualities to gain the respect of all employees. Must have the ability and desire to work in a cooperative manner and to make management decisions. Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field.
Five years of experience in a responsible Human Resources/Personnel position in the private sector or a private/public sector, partnership, or healthcare setting.
Three years supervisory experience required.

The Human Resources Manager, Wellpath Consultant manages, directs/supervises the staff and activities of the Human Resources Department.
Plans and organizes staff and their activities to achieve the hospital's mission and initiatives.
Develops procedures and supplements that allow human resources staff to function efficiently and that are easy for hospital staff to access and implement.
Reviews Human Resources Management throughout the hospital to assure compliance with established federal, state and corporate policies and procedures.
Reviews, evaluates and directs staff development and training activities within the hospital to assure compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC) standards and corporate policies and procedures. This includes monthly new employee orientation and in-services.
Reviews, evaluates and directs the recruitment and retention activities within the hospital to assure compliance with federal, state, corporate and TJC standards.
Makes on-site visits to hospital units/departments for exposure to employees, informal discussions and promotion of Human Resources assistance and availability of all staff.
Reviews and evaluates employee safety issues and ensures information relating to Workers' Compensation claims are appropriately maintained.
Provides on-going support and ensures staff adheres to organization's Code of Conduct training.
Oversees the maintenance of personnel/payroll records in accordance with TJC standards and corporate policies and procedures. This includes required background checks to include but not limited to, criminal, driver's license, education and credentials.

Must be able to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.
Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.
Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.
Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.Perform other duties as assigned.
