Overview

The Business Manager, Wellpath Consultant has the responsibility for the development, implementation, maintenance and coordination for the business office and related operational policies and procedures, including but may not be limited to the following: Budget, Financial reporting, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Payroll, Inventory and Insurance. The Business Manager, Wellpath Consultant also supervises and provides ongoing direction and coordination to the Purchasing Department. The Business Manager, Wellpath Consultant has lead responsibility of facilitating collaboration with Corporate and internal senior management groups to insure the financial performance and budget priorities of the hospital.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration.

Experience:

  • At least five years' experience in a responsible financial position involving budget preparation and control and/or administration of government contracts, two years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.
  • A master's degree in business or public administration may substitute for one year of the required non-supervisory experience.

  • None required

Responsibilities

The Business Manager, Wellpath Consultant plans, coordinates, communicates, and supervises the delivery of business related functions on a daily basis by applying hospital and corporate business management policies and generally accepted accounting principlesProvides direct supervision and directs service delivery by applying basic skills to the management of the hospital, motivation of staff and follow Corporate guidelines.Demonstrates knowledge in The Joint Commission (TJC) standards as they effect the business office area.Compliance in all related resources requirements.Adheres to WRS Code of Conduct.Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.Must be able to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.Perform other duties as assigned.
